A swearing in ceremony was held at the Lenoir County Courthouse for Lenoir County Sheriff Jackie Rogers. Rogers was sworn in by Dawn Stroud, former Lenoir County Clerk of Superior Court. Rogers won the November midterm election against incumbent Ronnie Ingram.

On February 24, 2022, Jackie Rogers filed to be a candidate for Lenoir County Sheriff. Last night, the voters of Lenoir County made their choice, naming Rogers as their sheriff-elect. With more than 30 years in law enforcement, Rogers platformed on making Lenoir County a safer place to live and raise families.

The NC Network for Fair, Safe and Secure elections is pleased to note that more than 2.1 million people (including 819,553 Democrats, 673,117 Republicans, and 649,483 Unaffiliated) have voted in NC during the early voting period, at 359 polling locations, without any major incidents or disruptions.
