UPDATE: On March 25, 2025, members of the Kinston Police Department’s Violent Crime Apprehension Team (VCAT) and A-Squad, with assistance from the Department of Adult Corrections, successfully took Jamarion Gray into custody.

The Kinston Police Department’s (KPD) Investigations Division has obtained warrants for Jamarion Tylee Gray (21, of Kinston) in connection with a shooting that occurred on March 3, 2025, on the 300 block of Airport Road.
On March 14, 2025, the Kinston Police Department’s B-Squad conducted a checking station on the 800 block of Queen Street, leading to multiple violations being addressed. Our officers remain committed to ensuring the safety of our roadways and enforcing traffic laws.
The Kinston Police Department is requesting assistance from the public in locating Bryson Bradley, 21 years old, who is wanted in connection with the murder of Korie Williams on September 20, 2024. Bradley has been evading authorities since the incident, and law enforcement is actively seeking his arrest.
On March 9, 2025, Kinston Police Department (KPD) officers responded to a breaking and entering at Exotic Tobacco and Vape, located at 805 Hardee Rd. Upon arrival, officers discovered the front door had been smashed open with a large brick.
On March 3, 2025, officers from the Kinston Police Department responded to a theft at Napa Auto Parts on W Vernon Avenue. Security camera images were shared on the department’s Facebook page, and with the support of our community, the suspect was identified as Jason Moore, 42, of Lenoir County.
On March 9, 2025, at approximately 4:36 p.m., officers from the Kinston Police Department’s D-Squad responded to a motor vehicle crash in the parking lot of the Piggly Wiggly on North Herritage Street. Before officers arrived, they were informed that one of the drivers had left the scene.
On March 8, 2025, at approximately 1:10 a.m., officers from the Kinston Police Department’s B-Squad conducted a traffic stop on Highway 258 South after a vehicle nearly struck an officer’s patrol car.
On March 7, 2025, at approximately 12:57 a.m., officers from the Kinston Police Department’s B-Squad conducted a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle. The vehicle had been reported stolen to KPD on July 17, 2024.

On March 4, 2025, at 2:16 PM, officers from Kinston Police Department's D-Squad conducted a traffic stop on NC 11. The driver, 71-year-old Tyrone Moore of Ayden, NC, was suspected of driving while impaired. After an investigation, officers arrested Moore and charged him with:
On March 4, 2025, at approximately 12:30 AM, officers from KPD’s B-Squad conducted a traffic stop on Riverview Lane. Upon approaching the driver, officers observed narcotic violations. A subsequent search led to the recovery of an illegally concealed firearm.
On March 3, 2025, KPD’s D-Squad responded to a report of a gunshot wound in the 300 block of Airport Road. Officers arrived on the scene and located a 23-year-old victim suffering from a single gunshot wound to the leg.
