A memorial service will be held at Howard and Carter Funeral Home in Kinston, NC, on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at 3:00 PM, with a visitation to follow.
Alma Gayle Heath Jenkins, cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at the age of 81. A celebration of Gayle’s life will be held Sunday, March 9, 2025, with visitation beginning at 3:00 p.m., with funeral services at 4:00 p.m.
Mary McRae Dale Parrott of Kinston, NC, born October 20, 1948, entered into the loving arms of Jesus on February 27, 2025. Visitation will be held at Faith Fellowship Church on Sunday, March 2, 2025 from 4-6 pm, and her homecoming service will also be held at Faith Fellowship Church on Monday, March 3, 2025 at 2:00 pm. Private family burial.
Roger Glenn Kennedy of La Grange, 69, entered heaven on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. He was born in Lenoir County on September 12, 1955. The funeral service will be held at Howard Carter Funeral Home on Friday, February 14, 2025 at 12:00 pm. The burial will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
William Earl Phillips, 81, of Kinston passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 6, 2025. A service of love and remembrance will be held at Howard-Carter Funeral Home on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 3:00 p.m.
James B Wade “JB” 91, of Kinston, NC passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. The visitation will be held for friends and family at Howard and Carter Funeral Home, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 25, 2025 with the funeral service to follow. A private Graveside service will be held at Westview Cemetery
UPDATE: A visitation will be held on Monday, January 20, 2025, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the chapel at Howard-Carter Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at 11:00 AM with Rev. Craig Ham officiating. A private burial service will take place at a later time.
Vivian Carol Thompson, 88, of Kinston, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2025 at Harmony Hall, Kinston, NC. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 16, 2025 at 1:00 pm with funeral services beginning at 2:00 pm at Howard-Carter Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Truett officiating.
Robert Lonn Hood, Jr. died on Nov. 20, 2024, at McGregor Down Health Center in Greenville, N.C., after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 60. No service is planned at this time.
Tatiana Quidel Espinoza Aedo, 69, of Kinston, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at home surrounded by her family. Visitation will be on Thursday, November 21, 2024, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Howard-Carter Funeral Home, with the funeral services beginning at 7:00 PM.
Douglas Gray Hill, 85, of Morehead City, peacefully returned home in the early hours of November 14, 2024. Doug will be laid to rest with his parents and siblings at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Kinston on Sunday, November 17 [Howard Carter], after which the family will receive visitors at a Celebration of Life reception from 2-4pm at the Kinston Country Club.

A service of love and remembrance will be held at Grace Baptist Church on Hwy 58 S. in Kinston on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. with visitation following. Burial will take place at Westview Cemetery on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at 11:00 a.m
