On January 18, 2025, at approximately 2:31 AM, officers with the Kinston Police Department (KPD) responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Circle K convenience store located on W Vernon Avenue. Upon arrival, officers began a preliminary investigation and later transferred the case to the KPD’s Investigation Division for further analysis.
On January 17, 2025, Kinston Police Department's A-Squad responded to a report of a subject pointing a gun at the McDonald’s restaurant located on W Vernon Avenue. The suspect was reportedly seen fleeing the scene in a vehicle. As officers made their way to the location, they observed the suspect vehicle traveling on Vernon Avenue near Queen Street and initiated a traffic stop.
On April 25, 2024, the Kinston Police Department (KPD) received a report regarding an alleged incident of indecent liberties with a child. KPD’s Investigative Division promptly launched a thorough investigation into the matter. After completing the investigation, the case was presented to the Grand Jury.
