The Wood Ducks announced that they will be hosting the Cornhole Classic on Saturday, September 17th at Grainger Stadium, sponsored by Brooks Poole, Realtor. Gates open at 10 am with the event starting at 11 am. It is a “rounder format” with American Cornhole League Rules. After pool play teams will be broken up into three brackets with cash prizes for the top three teams in each bracket!
The Down East Wood Ducks are coming off a series win (4-2) against the Columbia Fireflies and will be starting a fresh, six-game series with the Carolina Mudcats (7-8), the Class-A Affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers.

The Down East Wood Ducks announced Tuesday, their plans to host the second annual Kinston Cornhole Classic at Grainger Stadium, presented by Poole Realty on Saturday, November 6th. The event will use the American Cornhole League Rounders Format which is a Progressive Round Robin tournament where all teams will be placed into a pool and six or more rounds will be played by each team.

Charleston plated six early runs and never looked back. Luisangel Acuña homered for the second night in-a-row to earn the Suddenlink Player of the Game.
Needing extra innings, the Down East Wood Ducks walked off the Charleston RiverDogs 7-5 Tuesday night in ten innings. Luisangel Acuña blasted a grand slam (11) to give Down East the walk off win and earn him the Suddenlink Player of the Game.
Zebulon, N.C. – Despite falling behind early, the Down East Wood Ducks clubbed three home runs against the Carolina Mudcats, taking the 5-2 win Sunday afternoon. Owen White (W, 2-1) finished with a career-high 10 strikeouts in six innings to earn the Suddenlink Player of the Game.
