The intersection of U.S. 70 and Lowe's Home Improvement, Chick-fil-A, and Pinelawn Memorial Park is getting a makeover. The N.C. Department of Transportation is closing the median and building a new "reduced conflict intersection." Just be aware construction is scheduled to start today (Monday) and should be wrapped up by May.
The N.C. Department of Transportation is planning to replace several crossline pipes over the next three weeks on a Lenoir County road. Live Oak Hog Company Road will close in both directions for the maintenance work. The first closure is scheduled between 8 a.m. Thursday and 5 p.m. Friday.
