Does the Chick-fil-A intersection drive you nuts? Good news - change is coming!

The intersection of U.S. 70 and Lowe's Home Improvement, Chick-fil-A, and Pinelawn Memorial Park is getting a makeover. The N.C. Department of Transportation is closing the median and building a new "reduced conflict intersection."

They're putting in a raised median to redirect drivers and a U-turn area for those who need to change direction. But don't worry; you can still access Lowe's via U.S. 70 and Sussex Street. Just be aware construction is scheduled to start today (Monday) and there will be lane closures and workers around, so drive safe and watch out for those orange cones!

The construction should be wrapped up by May.
