Greene Early College’s Pamela Gonzalez awarded NC LatinxEd Fellowship

Greene Early College posted the following on their Instagram page:

GEC’s college liaison, Mrs. Pamela Gonzalez, is passionate about advancing education equity through early childhood education, post-secondary access, and language justice. Aiming to create a larger network for our students and community, she applied for and was awarded the opportunity to participate in the NC LatinxEd Fellowship program. This year-long opportunity will allow Mrs. Pamela to share her experiences with others, gain insight from other Latinx leaders across the state, and advocate for families in our local community.

The NC LatinxEd Fellowship program is designed to support Latinx education leaders across North Carolina. This fellowship provides culturally relevant professional development, including leadership coaching, storytelling workshops, and networking opportunities. Fellows gain access to essential resources and support to positively impact Latinx students, families, and communities.

The program aims to build a trusted network of Latinx education leaders who share a vision of creating a more inclusive and equitable education system in North Carolina. This initiative addresses the need for more representation and support for Latinx leaders in education by fostering connections and empowering participants through shared experiences and strategies.

We are proud of Mrs. Pam and her dedication to learning, growth, and advocacy!
