Lenoir Community College and Aircraft Solutions USA Inc. have recently signed a memorandum of agreement in which LCC will provide education and training for the future employees of Aircraft Solutions USA, Inc. Specifically, the College will leverage its expertise for pre-hire training, apprenticeships, continuing education and workforce development and college degree programs.

The College is committed to developing customized programs as well as utilizing its existing programs to create the workforce that the company needs to make its operations successful.

Aircraft Solutions USA Inc., an aircraft recycling company, announced its plans in December to create 475 jobs and make a $99.7 million investment in Lenoir County. Aircraft Solutions USA Inc. plans to build one of the largest hangar systems in the world to disassemble commercial and military aircraft.

“We are excited to welcome Aircraft Solutions USA Inc. and its founder and major shareholder Dr. Sven Daniel Koechler to Kinston,” LCC President Dr. Rusty Hunt said. “We look forward to collaborating with the company to provide training opportunities to build the skilled workforce it needs to prosper here in Lenoir County. These kinds of partnerships are integral to our work we do together to prepare a skilled work force,” he said.

“We are looking forward to working with the experienced team of LCC to help us create a well-educated workforce for our various aviation and recycling projects in Kinston,” said Dr. Sven Daniel Koechler.
