Washington, D.C. — Congressman Greg Murphy, M.D. issued the following statement in response to voting in favor of H. Res. 918, a resolution formally launching an impeachment inquiry into President Joseph Biden:
Sen. Jim Perry (R-Lenoir) has been appointed to four Legislative Interim Committees for the 2023-24 legislative interim period. Additionally, Perry was selected to serve as the co-chair of the Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on Unemployment Insurance because of his extensive business background.
Keith King was sworn into office Wednesday afternoon at a specially-called meeting of the board. He replaces Chad Rouse, who tendered his resignation to the board earlier this week.

During todays Lenoir County Commissioner’s Meeting, the Lenoir County Commissioners voted unanimously to accept the resignation of Commissioner Chad Rouse. Immediately following the meeting, the clerk to the board published the notice for the special meeting.

Commissioner Chad Rouse is resigning from the Lenoir County Board of Commissioners. Neuse News has confirmed that Lenoir County School Board member Keith King will be voted on as Rouse's replacement at an upcoming special Lenoir County Board of Commissioners meeting.
