A graveside service to celebrate JoAnn’s life will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Pineview Cemetery, Seven Springs. Pastor Doug Johnson will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Pineview Cemetery Fund, 2078 Zion Church Road, Mt. Olive, NC 28365.

Patricia "Patsy" Smith Nelson, 84, of Zebulon, NC, finished her earthly to-do list on July 14, 2025 — no doubt making sure everything was in order before she headed home to heaven. The funeral service will be held Thursday, July 17, at 11am in the Edwards Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be private.

Helen Dawson Creech Newell, 87, passed away on June 8, 2025. Helen was born to Dr. and Mrs. James Nelson Dawson on October 15, 1937. A celebration of Helen’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Rouse Funeral Home. A reception will follow the service.
