La Grange-Jimmie Carr Foss, Sr., a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and steadfast pillar of his community, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2025, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was 89 years old. Born on December 21, 1935, in Lenoir County, Jimmie Carr led a full and meaningful life, one rich in faith, family, and service.

His legacy extends to his great-grandchildren, Sutton Grace, Brayden, Liam, Marlowe, McKenna, Milo, Harper, Eli, and Scarlett. He is also survived by his brother, Creig Foss and wife Debbie. Above all, Jimmie Carr’s greatest joy was his family, and his love for them was immeasurable.

Jimmie Carr was deeply passionate about his community and took great pride in providing custom work for local farmers and residents. He also owned and operated Foss Auto Parts, a business he started in LaGrange, which grew into a successful auto parts distribution company, becoming a testament to his hard work, dedication, and entrepreneurial spirit.

Jimmie Carr enjoyed the simple pleasures of life—racing, fishing, and sitting in the sun, where he could enjoy the warmth and peace it brought him. His warm presence, sense of humor, and steadfast commitment to family and faith will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
