Town of La Grange Names New Assistant Town Manager
Christopher Seaberg to Begin His Service on March 26, 2025
The Town of La Grange is pleased to announce the appointment of Christopher Seaberg as its new Assistant Town Manager. Mr. Seaberg, a highly accomplished public administrator and urban planner, will officially begin his service with the Town on March 26, 2025.
“I am very excited about having Christopher Seaberg join our team as Assistant Town Manager for the Town of La Grange,” said Town Manager Shawn Condon. “Following a highly competitive recruitment process with many qualified applicants, I selected Mr. Seaberg because his background, experience, and skills align perfectly with the needs of our growing community. With the substantial growth we are experiencing in new residential subdivisions, along with revitalization projects aimed at enhancing our downtown area and strategic efforts to promote economic development, I am confident that Christopher Seaberg is the ideal person to serve in this key role. His experience in these areas will be a tremendous asset to the Town."
As Assistant Town Manager, Mr. Seaberg has been designated by Town Manager Condon to oversee and enhance the Town’s planning, zoning, land use development, code enforcement, and community development functions. His leadership will be critical in ensuring that La Grange continues to grow in a thoughtful, sustainable, and community focused manner.
Mr. Seaberg expressed his enthusiasm for joining the Town, stating, “I am honored to have been selected to serve the Town of La Grange in this role. It’s an exciting time for the community, and I am eager to work with the Town Manager, Town officials, Town staff, and residents to support thoughtful growth, strengthen our neighborhoods, and help realize the Town’s vision for a dynamic and prosperous future.”
Mr. Seaberg brings more than 22 years of experience in public service. Most recently, he served as Director of Planning for the Town of Emerald Isle, NC. He has previously served as Town Manager for the Town of Cedar Point and Town Manager for the Town of Swansboro. Other key positions include Interdisciplinary Community Planner for MCAS Cherry Point, and service as Community and Economic Development Manager for the City of New Bern. Mr. Seaberg holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Urban and Regional Planning from East Carolina University, with a minor in Business Administration, and is a graduate of the UNC School of Government’s Municipal Administration Program.
