Lenoir County man arrested for failing to report address as registered sex offender
A registered sex offender who failed to notify officials of his change of address was arrested today by the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office.
Akeem Ja’wan Sutton, 29, of Lenoir County, was arrested earlier today by the LCSO’s General Investigations Division (GID) at the LCSO Annex. He was charged with one felony count of failure to report a new address.
The arrest came after GID detectives developed information earlier this week and obtained a warrant for his arrest. Sutton was transported to the Lenoir County Jail, where he received a $12,500 secured bond.
