A registered sex offender is behind bars after failing to notify officials he had changed addresses.
Christopher Trevon Griffin, 36, of Kinston was arrested by the Kinston Police Department Thursday following an investigation by the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office General Investigation Division (GID) that started March 6. On Tuesday, the LCSO’s GID developed information during its investigation and obtained a warrant for Griffin for a felony count of failure to report a new address.
Thursday, the KPD arrested Griffin at a Kinston motel and transported him to the Lenoir County Jail, where he received a $100,000 secured bond.
