Kinston man sentenced for indecent liberties with minor
A Kinston man was sentenced earlier this month for indecent liberties with his 15-year-old stepdaughter.
On Feb. 2, Bobby Jimenez, 44, received a two-year sentence in Lenoir County Superior Court after a plea agreement was reached following an indecent liberties with a minor charge in 2021. He will also be required to be a part of the sex offender registry for the next 30 years.
The case was concluded because of joint efforts between the local District Attorney’s office and the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office.
“The D.A.’s office is thankful for hard work of the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office in this matter,” Assistant D.A. Jeffrey M. Cannon said. “We would also like to thank the strong will of the juvenile victim for all she had to endure from the traumatic events and for her willingness to work with our office and the Sheriff’s Office.”
