7th Annual Thanksgiving Community Dinner Hosted by Sisters United

Sisters United, a grassroots non-profit organization co-owned by Ms. Victor Fields and Mrs. Hattie King-Hall, is proud to announce the 7th Annual Thanksgiving Community Dinner. This cherished tradition, featuring a full home cooked Thanksgiving meal, will take place, Saturday, November 23, 2024,  at 12:00 PM on Thanksgiving Day in the Grainger Stadium parking lot, located on Vernon Avenue in Kinston, NC.

The event is designed to serve the community with love and gratitude through drive-thru or walk-up service. For the past six years, Sisters United has provided thousands of hot, hearty meals to those in need, last year serving 300 meals and this year promises to be just as impactful.

Each meal will be served in a convenient to-go plate and includes a delicious selection of Thanksgiving favorites: turkey, dressing, rice, string beans, mac-n-cheese, sweet potato soufflé, a dinner roll, and a drink. Please note that meals will only be distributed in person; no deliveries will be available.

Sisters United is deeply thankful for the support of local sponsors, including Piggly Wiggly on McLewean Street and Food Lion locations on Heritage Street and West Vernon Avenue in Kinston, as well as the generosity of private donors.

Join us this Thanksgiving as we come together to nourish our community and celebrate the spirit of giving.
