Kinston Police Department investigates shooting incident involving juvenile

On Sunday, November 11, 2024, at approximately 12:47 p.m., officers from the Kinston Police Department responded to a reported shooting on the 700 block of East Lenoir Avenue. Upon arrival, law enforcement located a 15-year-old male victim who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his extremities.

The victim was promptly transported to a local medical facility for treatment. Fortunately, his injuries are not considered life-threatening.

The Kinston Police Department has initiated an active investigation into the incident. Further details will be released as they become available.
