Mayor to plea for peace and cooperation at a press conference next Monday

In response to the recent violence that has plagued the city, Kinston’s Mayor Dontario Hardy is holding a press conference on Monday, July 11, 2022, to encourage citizens to cooperate and report any suspicious activity.

“A plea for peace and cooperation due to the senseless violence which has occurred within our community,” said Hardy in a press release.

Hardy will be joined by area pastors and will address the community at 5:00 pm on the steps of City Hall located at 207 E. King Street.
