Income Maintenance Caseworker III
Salary Range: $34,541.72 - $50,026.71
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
The primary purpose of this position is to troubleshoot processing system problems and assist with training income maintenance staff on program policies and the NC FAST system. This position will also review completed casework for accuracy, identification of training needs, and overall quality assurance.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Specialized knowledge about NC FAST and all automated systems used by the eligibility staff. Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
Interact professionally and courteously with other employees, customers, and partners. Understand the necessity to efficiently and effectively interact, communicate and coordinate work efforts with other employees in an effective manner to accomplish common task.
Specialized knowledge of economic services programs, including FNS and Medicaid. General knowledge of all agency programs and services.
Ability to pay strong attention to detail. Ability to effectively problem solve and to think logically.
Ability to willingly to accept work direction from multiple parties and work as part of a team. Ability to set priorities, implement changes and organize.
Ability to express ideas effectively orally and in writing. Ability to read, interpret, and explain policy materials.
Ability to accurately key data, to accurately type at least 30 words per minute, and to efficiently work in an on-line work environment.
Worker must have a thorough knowledge of Word, Excel, Internet, and E-Mail.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Two years of experience as an Income Maintenance Caseworker.
