The AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary Post 1111 of Kinston North Carolina recently visited House of Morgan, a local artisan that creates pewter jewelry and household items. Amanda Morgan Co-Owner provided a tour of the workshop and explained the history behind pewter making within the Morgan family. Auxiliary members were able to observe the steps it takes from design to pouring the molds to casting the items to polishing the final products before packing them to be sold.

Kinston, NC – The Kinston Police Department (KPD) has been actively investigating a fraud case involving stolen checks from Blizzard Walls Inc. The suspects in this case forged and deposited the stolen checks, leading to multiple arrests.

Snow Hill – The Greene County Board of Education has voted to appoint Dr. Rodney McNeill as the next superintendent of Greene County Schools, effective July 1, 2025. This decision follows the announcement of current superintendent Dr. Creech’s retirement, shared with the board on February 24, 2025. Dr. Creech has served Greene County Schools in various leadership roles since 2014 and has led the district as superintendent since 2022.
A worship service of thanksgiving to God for Bob’s incredible life will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday March 29th, at Calvary Memorial UMC, with burial at the Snow Hill Cemetery following. A service of love and remembrance will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at Rouse Funeral Home with Pastor Allen Ham officiating. The family will receive friends in the hour prior to service. Committal will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Kinston.
