On Sunday, November 17, 2024, at approximately 6:00 a.m., KPD's D-Squad officers attempted to initiate a vehicle stop on Highway 70. The driver of the vehicle, sped away as officers made their approach. The pursuit ensued when the suspect drove over a ditch and fled on foot near Lenoir Community College.
I had not seen him for a good while. One Sunday, he entered King’s Restaurant and took a seat in a booth. I had to go speak to him. He smiled at me, and we chatted for a few minutes.
