The story follows Dewey Finn, a failed rocker posing as a substitute teacher, who discovers his students' musical talents and forms a band to compete in a Battle of the Bands competition. Through the power of music, Dewey and his students navigate friendship, self-discovery, and the pursuit of dreams. With electric performances and catchy tunes, the musical celebrates the transformative impact of rock 'n' roll on both the characters and the audience.
Jones Senior High School HOSA (Future Health Professionals) students recently attended HOSA International Leadership Conference (ILC) in Houston, Texas. There were over 12,000 HOSA attendees at this conference from across the globe and the Jones Senior students had the opportunity to collaborate, network, and learn with numerous HOSA members from various states and countries.
WILLIMANTIC, CT (07/02/2024)-- More than 800 Eastern Connecticut State University students graduated in the 2023-24 academic year, which culminated with two commencement ceremonies this May at the conclusion of the spring 2023 semester. The University's undergraduate ceremony occurred May 14 at the XL Center in Hartford, CT, and the graduate-level ceremony occurred May 11 on Eastern's campus.

A Doctoral Conferral Ceremony was hosted by the J.T. Kerr Memorial Baptist Church in celebration of Moderator Preston L. Harris’ completion of studies at North Central Theological Seminary, earning a Doctor of Divinity Degree.
The South Lenoir FFA Chapter carried twenty-six students to the 95th North Carolina FFA Convention, competing in leadership development events and participating in workshops and general sessions. Many of our students were recognized for their hard work, bringing home great memories and gold medals.
