The former Post Office located at 4008 W Vernon Avenue in Kinston is being demolished. “We purchased the post office as an investment in Lenoir County,” said Brooks Poole of Walter Poole Reality.

Kinston local to compete on American Ninja Warrior

Kinston local Peyton Glover will be competing in the qualifier for American Ninja Warrior (ANW). ANW is a sports entertainment game show on NBC where thousands of competitors attempt to compete increasingly difficult obstacle courses across the United States.

Update: Shooting/Murder Investigation

An arrest has been made in the shooting that occurred last night on the 500 block of Mitchell St. Malik Dyshaun Bryant, 24, of Kinston NC was arrested and charged an open count of murder and two counts of Attempted First Degree Murder. Mr. Bryant was confined to the Lenoir County Detention Center under no bond.
