Humphrey appointed to several key committees in North Carolina House
RALEIGH, N.C. — On Wednesday, House Speaker Destin Hall appointed Representative Chris Humphrey (R – Lenoir, Greene, Jones) to several key committees for the 2025-2026 legislative session in the North Carolina House of Representatives. His leadership roles reflect his continued dedication to key issues impacting Eastern North Carolina, including agriculture, economic development, flood resilience, and healthcare.
Representative Humphrey will serve in the following leadership positions:
Chair, Insurance
Vice Chair, Appropriations, Agriculture and Natural and Economic Resources
Vice Chair, Health
“I am deeply honored to serve in these leadership capacities, particularly in areas that directly impact the well-being of North Carolinians,” said Rep. Humphrey, “As Vice Chair of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Agriculture, Natural, and Economic Resources, I will continue advocating for responsible investments in our state’s natural resources, rural communities, and flood mitigation efforts. In my role as Vice Chair of the Health Committee, I look forward to advancing policies that improve healthcare access and affordability, particularly in our rural areas. And as Chair of the Insurance Committee, I will continue our work to ensure that North Carolinians have access to fair and transparent insurance policies that protect families, businesses, and communities.”
In addition to these leadership roles, Rep. Humphrey will serve on several other key committees, including Agriculture and Environment, Emergency Management and Disaster Recovery, and Appropriations. These positions allow him to continue advocating for policies that strengthen North Carolina’s economy, support infrastructure resilience, and protect the state’s natural resources.
