Donna “Diane” Wilcox Ousnamer, 71, of Kinston passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at ECU Health.

Diane was a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room for over 20 years at Lenoir Memorial Hospital, now UNC Lenoir. She loved her work family as if they were her real family and was known by co-workers as well as some of the regular patients that would pass through the ER as “Mama Di”.

Diane was an animal lover, she also loved to work in her yard, and prided herself on having a beautiful home and yard.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Sybil Eubanks; father, D.F. Wilcox, Jr.; sister, Sandra Myerson.

Diane is survived by her daughter, Kristin Yates of Kinston; son, Brandon Pressly of Kinston; grandchildren, Rayleigh Goff, Joshua Pressly, Madison Pressly, Noah Westbrook, Kaithlyn Westbrook; brothers, D.F. Wilcox of Garner and Mike “Whitey” Martin of Kinston, Susie Hooks special friend of Kinston, and her fur babies Bohdi and Chloe.

The family will be accepting friends from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Diane’s home located at 2726 St. John Circle followed by A Celebration of Life service that will be held at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Garner Funeral Home. Visitation will be held following the Celebration of Life.
