Lenoir County Sheriff’s office reported there was a Breaking and Entering on the 400 block Arron Johnson Road. Linda Liddell Pate was taken into custody at the scene. Curtis Liddell Pate fled the scene and was apprehended after a three-hour manhunt.

Sheriff's Office Deputies are currently in the area of Collier Loftin Road near Hwy 58 S. searching for an identified suspect wanted in a Breaking and Entering. Please be mindful and allow your deputies the space to perform their duties.

Update: The suspect in custody. We will be releasing additional information concerning this incident later in the day.

Update: Shortly after 9 am today, deputies responded to a report of Breaking and Entering at a residence on the 400 Block of Aaron Johnson Lane, Kinston. Curtis Liddell Pate, 38, of Pink Hill fled on foot and was taken into custody after an extensive search of the area. In addition to 15 outstanding felony charges from Jones County, Pate was charged with Felony Breaking and Entering, Felony Conspiracy, and Resisting Public Officials. Today's charges are in addition to 28 pending charges Curtis Pate has spread between Duplin, Jones, Lenoir and Onslow Counties. Pate was placed in the Lenoir County Jail.

Sheriff Rogers thanks the Kinston Police Department for assisting in the search for Mr. Pate today an the citizens of Lenoir County who aided by allowing his deputies and KPD officers the time and distance required to bring this situation to a successful end.
