On October 15, the Ironclad Races will again host the Ironclad Half-Marathon and 5K races. We expect to have at least 550 runners - maybe even more. The runners and their families will be coming from all over. Again, please do all in your power to make them feel welcome - and encourage them to return to our area.
The CSS Neuse Foundation will also host Breakfast on the Boat on Saturday, October 15. The CSS Neuse Gunboat Association has planned a huge day from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 15. This will be fun AND the best breakfast you ever tasted. DO NOT MISS IT
The Donation Station scheduled for Saturday will be held on November 19, 2022.

TC Smith Produce (Kim Smith) Frozen cooked collards now available from Market freezer. Just as at our checkout desk. Check out what’s growing here at T.C. Smith Produce Farm! Cabbage collards, green Georgia collards, kale, and sharp head cabbage to curly mustard. The best and freshest of the area’s seasonal produce: Sweet potatoes, pickling cucumbers, squash, scuppernong grapes, tomatoes zucchini, onions, red potatoes, green peanuts.
B & B Eggs and Crafts: Sandra is in need of clean 12 portion egg cartons. Please bring her ones you have to recycle. Thank you. Farm-raised eggs, some with different colored shells. Vendor can explain why this happens… interesting! She will also have beautiful decoupage items and other decorations with Fall and Thanksgiving themes. Sandra will also have Lenoir County Honey for sale.

In addition, we carry Blackberry, Crepe Myrtle, Cornucopia, Cotton, Albemarle Swamp, Black Swamp, Bagley Swamp, Spring White, Extra Light Amber, Light Amber Blend and Amber. Also available is Honeycomb, comb honey and bee pollen. All are locally sourced from Eastern NC Beekeepers.

Donation Station Coming Saturday, November 10th to Lenoir County Farmers Market

The N.C. Cooperative Extension Lenoir County Center is launching a Donation Station program as a way for the community to engage in supporting local food, local farmers, and food security efforts. Farmers' market shoppers will be able to purchase fresh produce and eggs from farmers and vendors, and then donate it at the Donation Station table. Shoppers can also offer a monetary donation, which will then be used to purchase fresh produce and eggs from farmers at the market at full value. At the end of each market, the donated produce and eggs will be given to the Salvation Army to serve their clients. Donation Station will be at the Farmers Market the following dates and time:
